Chapter Chapter 7 in Introduction to the Theory of Nonlinear Optimization, 1996, pp 191-218 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Many of the results derived in this book are concerned with a generally formulated optimization problem. But if a concrete problem is given which has a rich mathematical structure, then solutions or characterizations of solutions can be derived sometimes in a direct way. In this case one takes advantage of the special structure of the optimization problem and can achieve the desired results very quickly.
