Abstract: Abstract Fuzzy set theory was initiated by Lotfi Zadeh in the mid-sixties. In 1965 Zadeh, then chair of the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of California at Berkeley, published a paper called “Fuzzy Sets” [257].
