Chapter Chapter 2 in Robust Control Systems, 2004, pp 17-40 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter we give a short overview of rational transfer functions with one input and one output. By deriving mathematical models for some selected elementary plants, we get typical examples for SISO transfer functions occurring in classical control. In many practical cases such a transfer function is stable, with the possible exception of one pole at the origin. Moreover, the complex poles are well damped.
