Abstract: Abstract The impact of an elastic disk with an elastic wall is numerically studied. We introduce a numerical model of the elastic disk and the elastic wall by mass points and linear springs. From our simulation, we find that the coefficient of normal restitution depends on the thickness of the elastic wall. We also calculate the coefficient of tangential restitution.
