Abstract:
Abstract Recently, Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANET) is a very promising direction in intelligent transportation system (ITS). In this paper, we analyzed the topology characteristics of VANET using complex network theory. The authors contribute to VANET model, analyzing the statistical properties of complex network based on the degree distribution, the clustering coefficient, the average path length and they find that the network has small world and scale-free features. The structure and properties of VANET have great implications on traffic congestion and urban planning.
