Abstract:
Abstract In a vendor-managed inventory (VMI) system consisting of one supplier two-distributors with different determined demand, two replenishment policies are discussed. In the first replenishment policy, the replenishment time and number of two-distributors are not coordinated, while in the second one, the method of integer-ratio time coordinatio that the replenishment interval for the supplier is an integer multiple of that for the distributors is applied. Finally, a numerical example is presented to verify the effect of the two replenishment policies. Results show that the method of integer-ratio time coordination is prior to uncoordinated policy.
