Abstract:
Abstract Strategic project plans are one of five categories of strategic documents (see Chap. 5 ). According to the authors, strategic intentions can be effectively and efficiently implemented only with the help of strategic projects. They constitute an essential link between strategic ideas and the concrete actions necessary to realize them. “Too often, elegantly conceived strategies fail to help a company because managers do not define the projects … that are required to implement high-level statements of strategy” (Christensen, 1997, p. 154).
