Abstract: Abstract For Chinese contractors, performance bonds are required by the majority of projects in overseas market, it is sensible for the companies to address the related issues properly. Based on both conceptual study and empirical study, this paper makes some suggestions for Chinese contractors to improve their ability to deal with performance bonds in overseas market, especially concerns the contractual issues such as drafting bond documentaries, incorporate main contract with bond documentaries and so on.
