Abstract: Zusammenfassung Klaudios Ptolemaios stammte vermutlich aus Ptolemaïs Hermeiou (Ägypten), wie eine byzantinische Quelle berichtet. Das Suda-Lexikon nennt ihn Κλαύδιος Πτολεμαῖος. Er wirkte in Alexandria als Astronom und Geograph.
