Chapter Chapter 6 in Nonlinear Systems and Controls, 2022, pp 503-599 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Chapter 6 of the book Nonlinear Systems and Controls deals with methods of designing nonlinear controllers that can be used for both linear and nonlinear controlled systems. The chapter begins with a description of the mode of operation and the design of model predictive controls. This is followed by sliding-mode controllers and passivity-based controllers; real-world applications include the control of DC-DC converters and the control of a paper-making machine. The design of fuzzy controllers and a series of exercises conclude the chapter.
