Chapter Chapter 13 in Tools of Effective Compliance, 2023, pp 137-146 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Young people who enter the workforce are not “blank slates.” Nevertheless, a lot changes in their lives when they enter a company. Not only their external circumstances, but also their values and beliefs are realigned. How, and in which direction, this alignment takes place is influenced by many factors, often with a specific goal in mind. How the individuals concerned develop, what ethical attitude takes hold, how they stand in relation to compliance is quickly established and can later only be changed with great effort, involving both compliance and the individuals concerned. If, for example, we consider the fixed groups mentioned in Chap. 14, there is definitely a “race” to see who can reach the young colleagues first and convey their convictions. An effective compliance takes on this race with the firm intention to win. Then the young colleagues develop a viable concept of personal compliance.
