Abstract: Zusammenfassung Der Mensch ist Mittelpunkt. So transportieren es zahlreiche Unternehmen in ihren Leitbildern. Zwischen Humanität und Effizienz zu jonglieren, ist im unternehmerischen Alltag jedoch nicht der einfachste Job. Rollenerwartungen an die Führungskraft im mittleren Management bleiben dabei meist diffus, sodass die Führungskraft die Rolle selbst definiert. Nur eines scheint sicher: Die Bewältigung von Widersprüchen wird in Unternehmen der Rolle der Führungskraft zugeschrieben.
