Chapter 15 in Project Management, 2024, pp 513-537 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Project management is first and foremost a leadership task because without leadership a project wallows like a ship without a captain. Therefore, successful project management requires professional leadership. The project manager must master the methods of project control in theory and in practice. In addition, he or she should have the qualifications to lead employees. Appropriate preparation, training, and motivation are required for project managers.
