Competition in a Global Environment
Bernd-J. Madauss
Chapter 21 in Project Management, 2024, pp 675-708 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Competition is a mainstay of the economy because, as in sports, it spurs those involved to achieve their best performance. Technological excellence has led to improvements in living conditions in many countries, but unfortunately it has also had negative effects, such as armed conflicts. The industrial competition of individual countries has developed into global competition in recent decades. German companies compete not only with their European neighbors but also with companies from other continents.
