Abstract: Zusammenfassung Der Gegenstand dieses Kapitels ist eine elementare und exemplarische Einführung in die Clusteranalyse (engl.: cluster → Klumpen, Gruppe, Bündel), die aus statistisch-methodischer Sicht in die Familie der multivariaten (lat.: multus → vielfach, varia → Allerlei) Verfahren eingeordnet wird und vor allem in der empirischen Wirtschafts-, Sozial- und pädagogischen Forschung eine breite Anwendung erfährt.
