Chapter Chapter 1 in Solving Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations with Maple and Mathematica, 2011, pp 1-34 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter deals with basic concepts and a set of important nonlinear partial differential equations arising in a wide variety of problems in applied sciences. Various types of nonlinear PDEs, nonlinear systems, and their solutions are discussed. Applying various predefined functions embedded in Maple and Mathematica, we construct and visualize various types of analytical solutions of nonlinear PDEs and nonlinear systems.
