Chapter Chapter 4 in Solving Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations with Maple and Mathematica, 2011, pp 187-226 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, following the general analytical approach, we consider the basic concepts, ideas, and the most important methods for solving analytically nonlinear partial differential equations with the aid of Maple and Mathematica. In particular, we will consider the concepts of integrability, the Painlevé integrability, complete integrability for evolution equations, the Lax pairs, the variational principle.
