Chapter Chapter 6 in Solving Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations with Maple and Mathematica, 2011, pp 263-304 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract It is known that nonlinear partial differential equations represent important mathematical models of real-world phenomena (e.g., physical, chemical, biological, economic, social, etc). Frequently it is not possible to find exact or approximate analytical solutions of a complicated nonlinear initial boundary value problem, therefore it is necessary to investigate the given problem numerically and analyze some simple special cases.
