Abstract: Zusammenfassung Der Einfluß der Informationstechnologie auf die Produktivität einer Organisation läßt sich nicht exakt berechnen. Häufig ist er den Ergebnisgrößen nur schwer zurechenbar. In dieser Studie wird eine nicht-parametrische Methode dazu verwendet, die Auswirkung des Einsatzes von Informationstechnologie in Niederlassungen einer Bankorganisation zu quantifizieren. Es wird zunächst eine Produktionsfunktion in Form einer Grenzhyperebene berechnet. Danach werden die ineffizient produzierenden Niederlassungen auf Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten untersucht. Dabei stellt sich heraus, daß verstärkter Einsatz von Informationstechnologie zu signifikanten Produktivitätsgewinnen führen kann.
