Graßmann’s life
Hans-Joachim Petsche ()
Chapter 1 in Hermann Graßmann, 2009, pp 1-100 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The Graßmann family had lived in Pomerania for centuries. Like his father, Hermann Graßmann spent his whole life in Stettin, except for three years in Berlin as a student and one year as a teacher at the Berlin School of Commerce. He was very involved in the life of his hometown. Civic life and culture in Stettin made a lasting impression on Hermann Graßmann’s worldview and political positions.
