Abstract:
Abstract We present the design issues which are encountered when addressing risks in working environments. Risks occur when changes in the working environment alter some ordinary working parameters. The management of risks requires design decisions which influence the performances of the system. In this paper we present the issues concerning: the definition of risks and the risk levels, the management of complex risks, and the design issues suitable for such a system by focusing on the challenges we have addressed in our prototype Risk Prevention and Management System.
