Abstract: Abstract The term business model has been used in various disciplines and, over the course of time, different basic approaches for a clarification of the concept have been developed. This heterogeneity of subjects is particularly reflected in existing definitions which in most cases only cover sub-areas such as the components of the business model or are very context-specific.
