Abstract:
Abstract This chapter focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) in Japan. The development of the Japanese M&A market will be shown and two examples are discussed. The first example discussed is the acquisition of Nycomed by the Japanese pharmaceutical maker Takeda. The second example discussed is the acquisition of US firm, Goodman, by Daikin in the air conditioner maker field.
