Abstract:
Abstract In today’s knowledge era, organisations are increasingly recognising the role of knowledge resource in building and sustaining a firm’s competitive advantage position in the market. Organisations are widely adopting knowledge management (KM) initiatives to capture and leverage the knowledge effectively. Within the KM domain, a critical factor that needs most attention is knowledge-sharing behaviour. Knowledge sharing is vital in universities and higher education institutions. This chapter attempts to explore the factors that positively or negatively influence faculty attitude towards knowledge sharing. Findings of the study clearly reveal that personal, organisational and technological factors significantly contribute to teachers’ attitude towards knowledge sharing.
