A chapter in Driving the Economy through Innovation and Entrepreneurship, 2013, pp 869-877 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In the highly competitive IP environment, there is a need for finding an ideal solution to efficiently direct and protect the intellectual assets of an organization and speed up decision making. An online database management system, named AGRI-TECHBASE, is conceptualized and developed by Zonal Technology Management – Business Planning and Development (ZTM-BPD) Unit, South Zone – for providing an interactive environment for the end-to-end management of intellectual assets owned by R&D institutions under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). This chapter highlights the growing importance of agricultural information systems and presents an overview of AGRI-TECHBASE, the development methodology and data management process.
