Chapter Chapter 13 in Strategic Business Decisions, 2014, pp 293-304 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we look at the expanse of communication and its use in preparation of reports and documents. We review the basics of communication—the sender and the receiver, the context of the message, the background noise that could distort the message and the channel through which communication can happen. We understand why effective communication has “communication effects” and look at factors that have an impact on the communication effect. We detail the types of organizational communication. We discuss the importance of effective communication and the importance of communication for project management. We then evaluate the communication requirement at different stages of project management.
