Chapter Chapter 7 in The Special Theory of Relativity, 2014, pp 73-88 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In Chap. 7, the relativistic velocity, acceleration transformations and relativistic transformations of the direction cosines are discussed. Also explained are some applications of relativistic velocity and velocity addition laws: (i) explanation of index of refraction of moving bodies (Fizeau effect), (ii) aberration of light and (iii) relativistic Doppler effect.
