A chapter in Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications, 2003, pp 931-940 from Springer

Abstract: Summary In this paper, linear algebra implications of the solution of Maxwell’s equations are considered. Due to the breadth of the subject, this paper only scratches the surface of the topic and is by no means complete, but the author hopes that the reader will find it an interesting starting point to discover the challenges which electromagnetics offers to the linear algebra community.
