Abstract: Abstract For several years IIASA has hosted or co-sponsored international workshops dealing with dynamical systems and their applications: in 1984 “Dynamics of Macrosystems” at Laxenburg (Austria), in 1985 “The Mathematics of Dynamical Systems” in Sopron (Hungary), and in 1986 “Dynamical Systems and Environmental Models” at the Wartburg (GDR).
