Chapter 3 in Introduction to Algebra, 1972, pp 40-112 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract We begin the study of abstract algebraic systems with groups because several concepts and results of group theory will be used later for the study of rings and fields. Group theory is a wide and highly developed branch of mathematics. In this book we have to restrict ourselves to some basic results. For a more comprehensive treatment we refer to the textbooks in the bibliography.
