Abstract:
Abstract The information produced by an environmental laboratory often results in regulatory actions or policy decisions. The environmental laboratory also supplies the information that determines corporate compliance with State and Federal environmental regulations. That a laboratory is operated by industry, an independent contractor, or the Government is immaterial to the laboratory’s responsibility to provide information of known quality within a useful time frame.
