The Pascal-De Moivre Moments and Their Generating Functions

Larry Ericksen

A chapter in Applications of Fibonacci Numbers, 1999, pp 103-120 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The moment generating functions for polynomials in two variables are presented here in closed and exponential formats. Each equivalent format offers an unique perspective on the generating function structure. For example, the closed formulas for the generating functions are ratios of polynomials which can have a hyperbolic representation, whereas the exponential sum formulas are composed of power series of special number sequences.
