Abstract:
Abstract With the coming to power of the House of Bourbon at the beginning of the eighteenth century, Spain commenced to raise itself from the state of decay into which it had sunk during the preceding century. A start was made with centralizing the machinery of government and reorganizing the civil service on modern lines.1
