A chapter in Set Theory, 1998, pp 127-155 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The relation between thesis advisor and doctoral student can be used to draw up academic genealogies. This article discusses brief genealogies for many of the participants (mainly set theorists) of the conferences in Curaçao in 1995 and Barcelona in 1996 and of the contributors to this volume. It includes a partial list of students of A. Mostowski, some stories of mathematical beginnings and references for those interested in further study.
