Abstract:
Abstract The techniques of linear algebra over a semiring have important applications in optimization theory, models of discrete event networks, and graph theory, particularly if the semiring is in fact a semifield. For further examples, see [Baccelli & Mairesse, 1998] and [Gaujal & Jean-Marie, 1998].
