Chapter 22 in Semirings and their Applications, 1999, pp 247-258 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract We now want to consider the possibility of infinite sums in semirings. Semirings having infinite sums, such as ideal(R) for any ring R, are well-known and the ability to take infinite (or at least countably-infinite) sums is, as we shall see, very important in certain applications.
