Abstract: Abstract In Chapter 1, we said that the PSI method has been successfully used for stating and solving numerous engineering optimization problems from various fields of human activity. See, for example, Statnikov and Matusov 1995 and Statnikov 1999. A number of examples of the application of the PSI method to optimization in engineering are given below.
