Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, the optimization of a superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) device is performed by means of three stochastic methods: genetic algorithms, simulated annealing and tabu search which are then compared. The parameter sensitivity is studied and improvements are proposed.
