Abstract: Abstract An infinite family $${\fancyscript{A}}\subset {\fancyscript{P}}(\omega )$$ is almost disjoint (AD) if the intersection of any two distinct elements of $${\fancyscript{A}}$$ is finite. We survey recent results on almost disjoint families, concentrating on their applications to topology.
