Chapter Chapter 13 in Educational Measurement for Applied Researchers, 2016, pp 245-259 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In previous chapters, the item response models specify a probability function for the chance of being successful on an item, or for obtaining partial/full credit on an item. These probability functions depend on the values of person ability and item difficulty. That is, if a person is of high ability, and/or if the item is easy, the probability of success will be high.
