Chapter Chapter 4 in Analysis of Repeated Measures Data, 2017, pp 31-50 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In Chap. 4, generalized linear model is discussed comprehensively with examples. The relationship between exponential family of distributions and GLM is shown and properties are discussed. The components of a GLM are illustrated with examples and GLM for multinomial response is introduced. The use of chain rule for obtaining estimating equations is provided in this chapter with examples. The measure of goodness of fit for the generalized linear models, deviance, is discussed elaborately with examples. Some applications are shown for different link functions.
