Abstract:
Abstract Let ABCD be a plane (convex) quadrilateral with sides AB, BC, CD and DA equal to a, b, c and d, respectively. Let the figure be drawn in such a manner that we may consider, according to the traditional terminology, the side BC to be the base (bhū), the side AD to be the face (mukha), and the sides AB and DC to be the flank, sides (bhujas or arms) of the quadrilateral.
