Abstract: Abstract In this introductory chapter to the book, Moving from the Millennium to Sustainable Development Goals: Lessons and Recommendations, Sefa Awaworyi Churchill provides a summary discussion on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He discusses the need to understand the factors that have influenced progress made toward the MDGs in order to influence the achievement of the SDGs. The chapter provides a summary of the book’s content, and a chapter-by-chapter synopsis.
