Transitioning from the MDGs to the SDGs: Lessons Learnt?
Simon Feeny
Chapter 15 in Moving from the Millennium to the Sustainable Development Goals, 2020, pp 343-351 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, Feeny provides a critical reflection of the MDGs and discusses how they compare with the SDGs. He summarises what has been learnt from the global experience of the MDGs and examines the extent to which these lessons were applied to the evolution of the SDGs. Feeny provides a set of recommendations on how to ensure that criticisms about the SDGs are taken on board to promote development.
