Abstract: Abstract Background: Child trafficking is a major issue that has reached an alarming status. It is receiving serious attention at the national and international level. Children are lured for money, better future and luxury; they are exploited up to a great extent in various ways. Aim/Objectives: The chapter aims at describing the trafficking among children and required social work intervention to tackle it. Methodology: The literature survey was done based on web study (secondary data) using J-Stor, J-Gate, Pubmed, Psyinfo, EBSCO and other search engines with words, such as trafficking, children, psycho-social intervention, rehabilitation and reintegration. The researcher identified around 150 studies which discussed various aspects of trafficking among children and adolescents. The author also reviewed published books and chapters for this purpose and chose important studies for the review purpose. Results: The results are presented under the sub-themes—concept, prevalence, reasons, methods and stages of trafficking, social work strategies in prevention and reintegration, discussion and conclusion. Rehabilitation of child victims of trafficking is a challenging process encompassing many facets that include overcoming of trauma, recovery and reintegration into the mainstream. Conclusion: Social workers, play a vital role in the prevention of child trafficking also in rescue and rehabilitation of such children. Along with taking care of the victim in the protection home, social workers also help in rebuilding their lives and making them independent. This chapter discusses the role of social workers in prevention and reintegration of trafficked children into the society and family.
