Abstract: Abstract Rural communities generated from land consolidation keep increasing in rural China. This kind of rural community can not only gather scattered agricultural land, but also slow down the change of rural social structure. Therefore, sustainability of such a rural community greatly affects realization of rural revitalization. However, few studies have investigated the sustainability of rural community generated from land consolidation. This paper identified the sustainability assessment factors through expert evaluation method and fuzzy mathematics, and developed a entropy model to assess sustainability based on the identified factors. Jiaxing City of Zhejiang Province was taken as a case to evaluate the sustainability of rural community generated from land consolidation. It was found that the sustainability of rural communities in Jiaxing was increasing annually and was closely related to the amount of construction funds received, but differences were noted as well. The findings can provide references for local governments to monitor and take measures to achieve sustainable development of rural communities generated from land consolidation.
