Abstract: Abstract This chapter begins with expressing data sets by matrices. Then, we introduce two statistics (statistical indices), averageAverage and varianceVariance , where the average is an index value that represents scores and the variance stands for how widely scores disperse. Further, how the original scores are transformed into centered and standard scoresStandard score using the average and variance is described.
