Chapter Chapter 4 in Reshaping the Economic Cooperation Pattern of the Belt and Road Initiative, 2021, pp 91-110 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The Belt and Road Initiative presents China with a major historical opportunity for its next stage of development. Countries along the Belt and Road have a relatively large potential market and their economies are highly complementary to the Chinese economy, thereby bringing broad investment prospects. At a time when China’s economy is entering the “New Normal”, promoting investment in the Belt and Road region is conducive to forming a new pattern of outward foreign investment, fostering advantages in international competition, and promoting the internationalization of financial services. Moreover, it also helps to deepen China’s economic relations with other countries and enhance China’s visibility on the international stage.
