Abstract:
Abstract With the gradual advancement of urbanization in China, the waste generated in the construction or demolition activities has grown rapidly in recent years. The continuous increase in C&D waste introduces a series of environmental and social problems. A case study of zero waste project in China is taken as an example to demonstrate management principles. The following management recommendations are summarized: (1) Legislation first: mandatory measures, (2) Policy support: lower price and adjustment of tax policy, (3) Overall planning: forming a comprehensive utilization equalizer, (4) Promotion and demonstration: awareness and intentions of green, energy saving and emission reduction. The findings provide references for project managers to improve C&D waste recycling, promote the awareness of construction and demolition waste recycling industry.
