Abstract: Abstract Tourism is an important part of urban economic development and can contribute to environmental protection. It is still great significance to the sustainable development of cities. This paper formulates an assessment model of urban tourism resource carrying capacity (UTRCC) from the “carrier-load” perspective. This model can be used to assess whether the urban tourism resources overloaded in the process towards sustainable urban development. The model provides references for sustainable urban tourism planning, development and management.
